GM to run Fairfax plant around the clock

It seems like GM is really making a push to get some more vehicles ready for consumers as they have recently announced they will be running their Fairfax assembly plant around the clock. This means they will be signing on a third shift of workers to increase the work day from 14.5 hours to 21.6 hours. With this added man power, GM hopes the Fairfax assembly plant will be able to boost its vehicle output from 4,500 per week to 6,300.

And for those who don’t know, this plant is the one responsible for the Chevy Malibu and the Buick Lacrosse.

If this goes well, GM will most likely consider this tactic for more of their plants in the future.
