Due to the current state of the economy, GM was recently given the permission to put a halt to 54 sponsorships including advertising and marketing contracts in the US.
These cuts will save GM millions of dollars which will hopefully help the company regain its footing in the shakey encomoy. WorldCarFans reports that due to these budget cuts the Chevrolet Clock in Times Square that has been standing since the 1930s will be dismantled.
With all of this help from the government will it be enough to save GM? Or will it only prolong the inevitable effectively slowing the company’s death? Only time will tell.

To Sir/ Madam
I’m writing this letter to you in the hope that you may be able to help in some way..
I’m in the Royal Air Force Regiment have been on operations all over the world though out my 9 years service, but recently spent 6 months fighting in Afghanistan and on return spent what money I’d saved and earned of many years on the car of my dreams…A TVR Cerebra 4.5. (Picture above).
I immediately had it delivered to a TVR garage to have it fully serviced and MOT’d…. only to be told that it wasn’t roadworthy and needed a new chassis.
The company I originally brought it from will not accept any responsibility for it and have said as it is now off their forecourt it is nothing to do with them. Later to find out the company is under several investigations.
Trading standards were also brought into it but with this proved to be a waste of time.
I have also sought legal advice but up to now this has all proved to be unsuccessful.
I am now at a loss as to what can do from here as I’m unable to pay the huge costs that would incur to have this car made roadworthy again.
I have been lucky enough to be able to leave the car at my workplace on base (RAF Camp), up until now but I’m due to go back overseas to Afghanistan at the end of the year and will not be able to have it garaged there for much longer.
I’m desperately hoping to find someone who loves quality cars as much as I do that may be able to help me in some way. I really need someone to sponsor me to get the car repaired or perhaps be put in touch with anyone that has the knowledge or skills to be able to help to make this beautiful car roadworthy again.
This really is the car of my dreams right down to the colour, and any help no matter how big or small I’d be extremely grateful of. Anything that will help to bring this car back to its original condition.
Any help no matter how big or small would be gratefully received.
Many many thanks
(The car colour would be prefect to support any logo’s for the teams colour)
