It’s no surprise that everyone wants to save gas, preferably switching to plug-in hybrids, so GM has decided to share the love. They have recently announced that they will infact bring the Volt to Europe, rebranded as the Opel.
Production models of the Volt are expected Stateside sometime in 2010, with the European model soon to follow.
With a pure electric range of 40 miles, coupled with a 1.4L engine powering a generator, giving the car a range boost up to 360 miles.
Don’t set your hearts just yet as GM is expected to face competition from car manufacturers like Toyota, Nissan, and Mitsubishi Motors.
