It was recently brought to the public that both GM and Ford will be handing out $50 gift card to attendees of this years New York International Auto Show happening this week.

There is a catch, however, to actually get the gift cards you need to test-drive a new vehicle manufactured by either Ford or GM at one of their dealershipers. Then, and only then, will you be able to redeem said cards.

KickingTires is reporting that while Ford’s gift cards will be able to be spent anywhere, GM’s will only be able to be used for food on restaurants.com. Let’s hope this sparks consumer interest in cars produced by the one great car makers, they really need it.
