Aquada

Gibbs Technologies are the minds behind the Aquada which first appeared in 2003. It then reappeared in the news when Richard Branson used the Aquada to get across the English Channel in 2004. He accomplished a record breaking 1 hour 40 minutes for that crossing.

The High Speed Amphibian (HSA) technology on which the Aquada is based will hopefully be licensed soon, with the car ultimately coming to market for about £150,000 ($295,110). Anybody who purchases one can expect to achieve a maximum road speed of over 100 mph on land and a water speed of around 30 mph
