Ford is looking forward to increase fuel efficiency and therefore it has publicly declared that every model it will produce will have a four-cylinder option by 2013. Ford is counting on its Ecoboost engines which be able to deliver the same power of a V6 without consuming the same amount of fuel.
The company is expecting to make at least 750,000 Ecoboost engines per year by 2013 and about 66% of those will be four-cylinder engines. The turbocharged engines are probably going to power F-150 pickup trucks which means they should be able to offer you quite a lot of horsepower. Are you ready to have your engine replaced with an Ecoboost engine?
