Eleanor, a MIT Solar Electric Car

Eleanor is MIT’s Solar Electric Vehicle, a car ready to harness the sun’s power for our driving pleasure. Eleanor is the latest solar electric car available from MIT and it’s said to be taller and more comfortable to operate than previous versions.

You’ll get your much needed power from some six square meters of monocrystaline silicon solar cells and that whole energy will be enough for a day and it will let you achieve a steady 55 mph speed.

wow, that's something from a sci-fi movie. I have a feeling the hydrogen hybrids might overtake the solar models though
