Does the title of this post really make sense? I mean, if you virtually drive a car in a video game, are the chances of you buying said car increased? According to the Financial Post, yes, well, maybe.
Apparently, they conducted a study with 2 groups of participant with one group driving cars in modern video games, and the other group just watching videos of those video games.
After the test was complete they conducted a survey and managed to find out that those in the group that actually drove the cars (in the game) were 50% more likely to purchase those cars than the other group.
Sound reasonable, yes, I don’t know how accurate this test could possibly be though.

I love racing games, and I love the cars in them. My favorite game, Halo Wars, was called “Perfect” on EverHype, and I couldn’t agree more. (Read more reader written music, movie, and game reviews at http://www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc.) I know this isn’t a racing game, but still, it rocks!
