No1 Chick Car

Click and Clack (a.k.a. brothers Ray and Tom Magliozzi) have been working on cars all their lives, but you probably know them better from their NPR call-in radio show where ‘the tap it brothers’  have fun with listeners and their questions, and eventually give them car advice too. In an informal survey of their fans, the brothers recently announced the top 3 ‘Chick Cars’ for 2009 to be:

1. The Volkswagon Beetle, a totally adorable little car.
2. The Volkswagon Jetta, another favorite with the ladies, and
3. The Mazda Miata.(Who doesn’t want a Miata?) Bankrate.com adds the Mini Cooper and the Ford Mustang to the list.

The New Beetle, which includes a flower vase alongside the cup holders, is clearly designed with women in mind–but the Mustang? I guess everybody loves the Ford Mustang.  There’s probably a good reason the song is called ‘Mustang Sally’, not ‘Mustang Sam’.
