Chrysler PT Cruiser To Be Buried This Summer

The car sensation of 2000 is officially being buried this summer as Chrysler has announced the death of the PT Cruiser. The PT Cruiser car sales dropped by 49% last year and with only a handful of cars being bought from car dealers, it is obvious that this car was up for performance evaluation.

In fact, to get rid of these ignored vehicles, car dealers packaged them as a practically free ride just to dispose of them from their fold. So you could just imagine how desperate the car dealers were to get rid of these vehicles from their inventory.

A sensation when it first appeared in 2000, complete with faux-wood-sided editions and models with whitewall tires that called to mind Al Capone’s ride, the car essentially withered away.

The plant that produces the Cruiser has been shut down for a month, and the company has quietly extended those shutdowns by a week. With that in mind, you just know that this brand is about to exit the car scene especially in the condition that Chrysler is in right now.
