Another day at the LA Auto Show and a brand new car. A brand new coupe model release! I’m talking about the phenomenal Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4! Although it has been initially released in Geneva this year, this is its US launch.

It’s a coupe with a 5.2L V10 engine that will get you from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds. It has a lighter transmission than its predecessor and an increased shift time by 40%. It’s also a greener car, its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions having dropped by 18%.

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said:

The LP 560-4 is the best example of the Gallardo to date and will be a great contribution to Lamborghini’s future success. The entirely new LP 560-4 Spyder adds another dimension to the Gallardo’s lineage with extreme design language and class-leading performance.

Curious on that price tag? You’ll need to wait a couple of days for that, but if you stay tuned, you’ll be the first to hear after we’ve heard first. If you know what I mean!

Do you commute a lot? Hate flying? Angry at the gas prices lately? Well if you happen to live in California we have some good news for you. A high-speed train is going to link San Diego with Sacramento. The train will travel at speeds of 220 mph or higher which means you’ll be able to go through the whole 800 miles from the north to the south in just about 4 hours or so.

The project will create about 320.000 permanent job and it will save the state about 12.7 million of oil barrels per year. Way to save some car gas right there! Hopefully it will be available by 2030 although there’s no official news regarding the timeframe needed to complete this huge $45 million deal.

I am sure you were waiting for this week’s 2010 Ford Mustang teaser photo. We were waiting for it too and we got it. Of course, everyone else got it too. Today’s shot is showing everyone how the interior looks like.

We have metal-like silver plastic, black leather, white stitching… You know, everything we need to feel comfortable driving the next Mustang. We have two more shots to go and 13 days to go to the LA Auto Show, where we’re going to see the 2010 Ford Mustang.

The Toyota RAV4 Performance Sport might be just the car you need to break the next speed record. Or to get you that speeding ticket that has your name on it.

Besides that bold performance and sport motto, the RAV4 will get you a wide body kit, front and rear fascias, LED headlamps, hood and panoramic glass roof, 22×9.5 front and 22×10 rear USW wheels and lowered suspension. We’re waiting for more details, maybe some engine specs, a price offer, a free test drive?

The Arash AF-10 looks like a toy car but it’s a very much real supercar. The AF-10 will have an LS3 or LS9 V8 engine and it will weigh around 2600 pounds. Its chassis is being built around now and the car will be available by Christmas. I’m not sure you’re going to be able to get one soon since it costs £170,000, but in case you saved enough, the car will be ready for sale next summer.

Well here’s a good idea from Nissan. The company will get you 0% financing for the first 36 months of your payment plan. The new financing solution will be available starting November 4 and it will be available for various models: the Rogue, Murano, Altima, Sentra and Versa hatchback. Unfortunately the offer will end on November 30 so you have to make up your mind now. If you’re going to choose a Nissan, do so now!

The poor guy or gal driving that car. I mean what’s the point of getting supercars like the Ferrari in the picture if you’re going to go ahead and crash them. The picture here was taken in Grees and the car is a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The engine seems to have survived the crash and I hope the driver did too.

All drivers out there, watch your speed when mixed with booze. And remember to tip the taxi driver!

The Saab BlackBird concept car in the picture here might never be more than just a concept. The car is inspired in the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance plane. The car’s made out of solar-friendly material. That’s right your virtual BlackBird would have four electric motors, one for each wheel, all powered by the sun.

Inside the car we’re going to have an LCD display for the driver and a communication panel for the passenger’s seat. The seats are adjustable to fit the occupants.

The Saab concept looks rather bold. It would be fun to see it on the street. But would you actually buy one if given the opportunity?

Bugatti is getting ready for yet another Veyron version. I am talking about the Veyron Grand Sport “Sang Noir”. The Black Blood (Sang Noir in French) is a version pf the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport targa. Only 15 Sang Noir models are going to be be created in the coupe form. I guess lots of billionaires are going to get lined up to get one. Looking forward for auction news and pricing details.

My oh my, what do we have here? Check out those lines and that mean BMW look. It’s possibly the successor of the M1? This concept is said to be BMW’s green car of the future. Probably the M1 of 2012, although we are a long way to go on this one.

The car is rumored to pack a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter inline six engine. Other features will be the use of direct-injection, brake regeneration, start-stop technology and the F1 kinetic energy recovery technology. Therefore fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions will be comparable with those of the 5-series sedans.

Well give this rumored M1 a final name, strap a price to it and bring it to some Auto Shows. I am sure it will raise an eyebrow or two!

It looks like the new Boxter and the Cayman have been given a new face. There are new headlamps, air intakes and redesigned LED taillights mounted on the new cars. The 2010 models will arrive sometime next year. Besides the looks, these Porsche have a great personality too. A new 2.9 liter engine which will get you no less than 265 hp and 222 lb.-ft. of torque will delight the buyers of the standard models while the S-equipped line will get them the same engine but equipped with direct injection. The last version will be capable of 320 hp and 274 lb.-ft. of torque.

Now take a look at the picture above! Wouldn’t you like to drive that? Who knows when that will be possible… Well actually that’s the Corvette S limited edition for Japan. The C7 is yet to come, unless it won’t! But I am sure the C7 would be a great car to drive!

Autonews is reporting that the C7 Corvette is going to be put on an indefinite hold. Not canceled yet but it might just get canceled if the current financial situation of GM won’t be solved soon. The C7 might be available in 2014 or even later. That’s not that bad but not good either!

By raise of hands, who wouldn’t appreciate a Ferrari? Would you get one as soon as possible? I would too. I only need a couple of hundred thousand dollars more and I will be getting one. The Ferrari California for example will cost £143,000 in the UK. That means it’s more expensive than the Ferrari F430 coupe but it costs less than the spider. Or would you rather get the Aston Martin One-77 instead?

The Aston Martin One-77 sold like hot cakes. Or should I better say hot expensive cakes. Over 100 wealthy buyers have purchased the One-77. Only 77 cars were supposed to be created, but I guess that no rich guy will be left out so the initial 77 number will be surpassed. After all everyone paid a £200,000 deposit without even seeing what the car looks like. If you have the money just go for it. It’s a great car, and it will give you that James Bond feeling. If you don’t have the money, then simply enjoy it as it is and move on forward.

The Porsche Carrera GT in the picture has been spotted somewhere in Arkansas on Interstate 55. Although I’d definitely choose Porsche as the sports car provider for my mid-life crisis, I’d raise my eyebrows if a dealer would offer me this Carrera GT.

Luc Costermans managed to achieve quite a performance in a borrowed Lamborghini Gallardo. He broke the blind speed record with a performance of 192 mph. The Belgian driver has been blind for four years now, but nevertheless he managed to drive the Gallardo at 192 mph this Saturday at an airstrip in Istres, France.

Sure, Mr. Costermans had a co-pilot to guide him but he pulled the whole thing off with boldness. Congratulations to him for the achieved performance. Until modern technology will be able to give sight back to the blind, I am sure we’re going to see other visually-challenged people go for the fastest driver position. The next to try his luck is the former holder, Mike Newman, who is hoping to get to 200 mph in a Keating TKR!

Remember the HYmotion4 hybrid technology we’ve seen in a couple of Peugeots at the Paris Motor Show? They were the Peugeot RC and the Prologue. Besides those the Citroen Hypnos and C4 WRC share the same technology and it’s the C4 WRC we’re going to talk about today.

The C4 WRC is a hybrid race car which we might soon see in various races. The car has a 125kW electric motor at the rear axle attached to 990 lithium ion cells which produce 400-volts. The driver can choose which motor to use and when. S/he can couple both engines for more power. What’s innovative about the system is the regenerative braking which allows you to recharge the batteries while driving.

I’ll be interested to seeing a hybrid race car in action. We’re probably going to have more manufacturers looking into this solution for their racing models.

It looks like Ford isn’t willing to listen to popular demand to reveal already the 2010 Mustang in its final form. We’ve seen bits and pieces for the last few weeks and it’s nothing different today. And now it’s time for the dashboard to be shown.

The Mustang is coming live at the LA Auto Show in November and until then we’re going to keep an eye out on the upcoming six pictures left.

There’s a rumor going around the block about the Corvette ZR1. Since the Bowling Green is shut down this week, no Corvettes are made yet. This lead to the weird conclusion that the ZR1 is going to be canceled by GM. Just like that? No two weeks notice or something?

Luckily for all Corvette lovers, Terry Rhadigan, GM’s global communication person has concluded that all this was nothing but a rumor which isn’t true at all. So if you don’t have all that cash ready for the ZR1, you have plenty of time to raise it.

Besides the Citroen GT that was displayed in France the past week, Citroen has another good concept on the halls of Paris Motor Show 2008 – the Hypnos Concept.

It looks like a car from the future, at least design-wise, and according to Citroen it is “an elegant and distinctive cross-over vehicle”. The Hypnos has a 2-litre HDi DFPS engine powered by diesel, that is able to provide 120HP. Thanks to an electric motor placed in the rear axle, there is extra power in the form of 50HP.
