There are a lot of things you can do with your car. All you need are the following resources. And for the Subaru, a couple of concept vehicles will be showcased at the 2009 SEMA Show from November 3 to 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center which are sure to surprise and make motorists drool in envy. The concept cars up for showing are a custom-built Subaru Imprezza WRX STI and Legacy VIP.

The Subaru Imprezza WRX STI should be a great trip to see how some add-ons can totally change the design features of this vehicle, with some help of course from the SPT catalog. For the Legacy VIP, combines the SPT with some of the VIP rants that deliver luxury enjoyment in a vehicle with class. Topping all of this is the Subaru Micro Van, a special SPT delivery van that promises to deliver go-fast parts very slowly via a 25 horsepower complement.

Sure, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Carbon is cool but the 5-speed automatic gearbox will have JDM fans displeased with the vehicle. Now, Subaru has again taken center stage to show us their Legacy B4 GT300, a vehicle that will appear in the Japanese Super GT series at some point next year.

This vehicle features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of 300 hp, all-wheel drive, 6-speed sequential transmission and weighs in at just about 2800 lbs.

As the Super GT series rolls closer we will most likely be hearing more of the Legacy B4 GT300.

The Tokyo Motor Show continues ahead full steam and the latest vehicle on display from Subaru is the Impreza WRX STI Carbon. This vehicle is a tuned version of the regular Impreza WRX STI with a carbon fiber roof, hence its name. Such a light weight roof makes for a lower center of gravity while also reducing its weight making for better handling.

Now, I’m all for the carbon fiber hood but the fact that Subaru plans to ship this vehicle with only a 5-speed automatic transmission makes me a little angry. I mean a rally car really, a rally car without the option for a manual gearbox? What is Subaru thinking?

What you see above is the Toyota FT-68 Concept, a concept vehicle expect to make its debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show next week. For those who don’t know, this is the concept that is the work of a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru.

Details are slim but we do know that it will be a rear wheel drive vehicle with a 2.0 liter Toyota-Subaru “D-4S” Boxer engine. As for a release date, well, it’s expected to hit dealerships by 2011 wearing a Toyota badge but that could change with further announcements.
