The 2010 Chevy Camaro RS hasn’t even hit dealers yet and already snapshots like the one you see above have been taken of it.

Apparently, senior editor Joe Wiesenfelder for the Cars.com blog took the above shot with his Blackberry when he spotted the car at a Detroit gas station.

Sure it looks cool, but will the futuristic look appeal to American-muscle-heads? I guess we will see when this thing goes on sale closer to 2010.

You must remember yesterday’s which stated that the Chevrolet Volt program will be temporarily stopped with some of the engineers working on it being temporarily fired too. Well it looks like the story isn’t entirely true. GM won’t delay the Volt program just yet but that’s probably what’s going to happen if they will choose to save some money. A GM representative said cancellation of the Volt story was not true whatsoever. Well what did you expect them to say? That the bloggers have unveiled their devious plans? Should we assume that the whole story is going to be confirmed in the future if GM hurried to deny it already? Terry Rhadigan from Chevrolet said:

I’m not going to respond to specific speculation. The Volt remains a top priority for our Company and there are no changes to the timing of the program.

Remember the Chevrolet Volt we were talking about a few weeks back? Well it looks like GM is going to put a hold on the whole Chevrolet Volt Program. The financial crisis has hit all major automakers so Chevrolet will not only pause the program but it will go further to fire some of the Volt engineering team. The news leaked unofficially:

My uncle works on the Volt as an engineer. He’s getting laid off Friday because apparently the project (aka VOLT) is on hold indefinitely.

Probably we’re going to hear GM’s side of the story especially since Reuters said yesterday that GM is going to expand its R&D on hybrid electrics.

The Chevrolet GPiX is a concept crossover which was revealed earlier this week at the Sao Paulo Auto Show. The car was designed at GM’s Brazilian design center and it’s using the global design of Chevy.

What we like? The 17 inch wheels and the panoramic glass roof which will make you not want to drive the car. We’d certainly take it out for a spin if the model was available. Bluetooth, hand-held computeds, a CD player and MP3 player are going to improve your driving experience. What say you?

SUV fans better look away, it’s about to get ugly. Buzz circulating around on the internet that, due to costs, the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Caddilac Escalades will not be replaced in 2011, this means the hybrid models of the three as well.

Basically, all three of the above mentioned car models will cease to exist after this year, but why? Probably due to the fact the economy stinks, and no one wants to shell out the additional money to pay for a car that is already going to cost them even more in gas.

There is word that GM will produce smaller, more gas efficient, SUVs, but common. No more Cadillac Escalade?

Now take a look at the picture above! Wouldn’t you like to drive that? Who knows when that will be possible… Well actually that’s the Corvette S limited edition for Japan. The C7 is yet to come, unless it won’t! But I am sure the C7 would be a great car to drive!

Autonews is reporting that the C7 Corvette is going to be put on an indefinite hold. Not canceled yet but it might just get canceled if the current financial situation of GM won’t be solved soon. The C7 might be available in 2014 or even later. That’s not that bad but not good either!

We’ve talked about the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro before and now we have some official prices announced by General Motors. The LS will start at $22,995 and the SS versions will start from $30,995. Starting with today, October 13th you can order your favorite version. Production will start in mid-February in Oshawa, Ontario.

The LS and LT will have a 3.6 liter V6 capable of 300 hp and 273 lbs.-ft. of torque. You’re going to get a Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic gearbox with TAPshift control. The SS will get a 6.2 liter LS3 V8 will get you 422 hp and 408 lbs.-ft. of torque when combined with the six-speed TR6060 manual transmission while the a six-speed automatic gearbox will only be able to get you 400 hp and 396 lbs.-ft. of torque from a L99 V8 engine.

All models come with 4.5-link independent rear suspension, four wheel disc brakes, StabiliTrak traction control, 18 to 20 inch wheels, Bluetooth, remote start, USB connectivity, XM radio and more. What you need to do is get your Camaro.

There’s a rumor going around the block about the Corvette ZR1. Since the Bowling Green is shut down this week, no Corvettes are made yet. This lead to the weird conclusion that the ZR1 is going to be canceled by GM. Just like that? No two weeks notice or something?

Luckily for all Corvette lovers, Terry Rhadigan, GM’s global communication person has concluded that all this was nothing but a rumor which isn’t true at all. So if you don’t have all that cash ready for the ZR1, you have plenty of time to raise it.

There’s no official confirmation from Chevrolet, but no one has denied the list so far either. Go ahead and mentally customize your 2010 Camaro. Too bad we don’t have some price tags to go with the list. That would make things a lot easier.

Who wouldn’t want to drive a Corvette? The older the model the better! Bruce Willis has quite a car collection and on October 25th he will sell some cars including two Corvettes. They are a 1957 Corvette and a 1967 Corvette and they will be offered for auction by Bonhams & Butterfields at the Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

The 1957 Corevette (in the picture above) is a gift from his former wife Demi Moore. It has its original 283cu-in engine which is ready to offer you 220 horespower. It has Powerglide transmission, front disc brakes, power booster, power steering. It’s fully restored and it comes with both soft and hard tops. The 1957 model is estimated to be priced at $70,000/$90,000 but we’ll see how much the highest bidder is ready to pay for it.

The 1967 Corvette (see below) is considered to be the most wanted car in Corvette’s history. It has a 427cu-in engine which offers at maximum of 435 horsepower. It has power brakes, power steering, Cragar S/S alloy wheels and an Alpine 5-CD changer smartly hidden in the glove compartment. The 1967 model is estimated to be priced at $110,000/$150,000.

Besides the Corvettes, Willis will sell 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 Convertible, a 1968 Shelby Mustang GT 500 Convertible and a 1969 Dodge Charger. Why would Bruce sell them I’ll never know…

A General Motors plant in Oshawa, Ontario which makes dependable W-platform vehicles like the Chevrolet Impala or the Buick LaCrosse has just been awarded with a rare J.D. Power and Associates award.

The Power’s Founder’s Award is given to people and corporations which are uncommonly dedicated to continual improvement for customers. Gary Dilts who is the VP for U.S. automotive practice at J.D. Power, presented the award to plant manager Dan Hermer and Chris Buckley, president of CAW local 222.

Congratulations to GM for such an accomplishment. I guess more automakers should work as hard as the Oshawa plant to get better cars for us.

The 2009 Corvette ZR1 is ready to arrive in the UK. It will cost about £109,000 or $200,400. Beware though, only 2 ZR1 are going to the UK this year and about 10 will be sent there the following year. The Corvette ZR1 comes with a 6.2 liter V8 engine which will take you places, get your girls and so on.

If you’re having second thoughts about buying one, then stop. Go pay the man in cash and get yours on the road today. I can’t do anything but look at it for now but you will surely enjoy driving it!

The Chevrolet Orlando is about to be released at the Paris Motor Show. It’s a seven-seat crossover concept car built on the Delta II platform. It will have a 2.0 liter turbodiesel engine, some lighting tricks all around, leather seats and more.

We don’t know exactly what more since the car wasn’t released yet. All that’s left is to enjoy the pictures and analyze them until General Motors will unveil the Orlando in Paris.

We’ve seen the Chevy Volt both officially and unofficially so far. But since General Motors has revealed the Volt, people have started a rumor according to which GM will transform the Chevy Volt into the Opel Volt in Europe.

The car should hit in 2011 and it will be almost identical to its American brother. Both the mechanical part and the design will resemble the original Chevy. We’re probably going to see minor changes for the exterior design, just to differentiate the two cars, but overall you will have the impression that the Opel Volt is a Chevy Volt. Or so I figure. As for interior designs, Opel will probably customize it and add it’s touch for its European customers.

The Opel Volt will be released in 2011 but until then we should know more details about it.

So it’s finally there. Another good looking Camaro has been unveiled yesterday. The 2010 Chevy Camaro SS was revealed officially yesterday at the 2008 IndyBash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Yes, the Camaro comes equipped with a 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine capable of 422 horespower and 408 lbs.-ft. torque. Yes it has a six-speed automatic gearbox to go with that. And yes, you will be able to see the car at the Paris Motor Show.

No, the launch wasn’t spectacular at all. Not that we were there live, but so do people say.

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt has been finally unveiled by General Motors at the centennial they are celebrating over in Detroit.

The car is designed to work on electric power until the batteries are fully depleted. That’s when a gas engine gets started in order to recharge them. It’s even better if you have a volt outlet to plug your car into, when the batteries are over.

The motor will get you about 150 horsepower from the lithium-ion battery pack which runs through the entire car length. The car will get you about 40 miles in electric mode, and that’s when you have to start the gas motor. The gas motor seems to be a 1.4 liter I-R which eats up gas or E85. The Volt sits of the next-generation Delta platform and it will have the McPherson strut front suspension.

The inside of the car will be really high-tech. The main instrument cluster can be customized and the center console has touch-sensitive controls, Bluetooth for phones and audio devices and GPS.

As for the price, the 2011 Chevy Volt will cost anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000. But there’s plenty of time for that!

General Motors is going to act quickly on Corvette production. Don’t worry they’re not altering this beautiful brand in any way. What GM is going to do is slow down the production. Slow sales and the current worldwide recession made them come to such a decision.

On October 6th Corvette’s factory will be closed for a week. In the following week production will be reduced from 18.5 cars an hour to 15 cars an hour. That means a new schedule and up to 75 people being fired. Sorry to carry the bad news folks, but if you’re building the Corvette for a living, consider finding a new job. You might need one in a few weeks.

General Motors has decided to show us the new 2010 Chevy Cruze. It’s a compact sedan which will be launched in Europe next year in march. You can choose from a 1.6 liter, a 1.8 liter or the new 2.0 liter diesel which will give you around 150 horsepower. Although a small car, the Cruze is bigger than the Cobalt. To get a better idea of it all, you have to get on a flight to Paris for the Motor Show where the Cruze will be available.

The Cruze will get you 40 mpg which isn’t that bad at all. However GM decided to go for an initial European launch since that’s the fastest growing market for them, but U.S. customer are eventually going to get it.

We can at least offer you more pictures when it will be unveiled in Paris in a few weeks.

I’d like to see what this designer imagined under the hood. Or if that’s too difficult, I am sure the interior design could be easier to photohop, right? As for the real 2010 Aveo, we have to let our minds run wild in the imagination land for now!
