A new Cadillac commercial has hit the web today giving us the first ever look a production CTS Coupe. Also featured in the commercial are other Cadillac vehicles such as the Cadillac SRX, CTS and CTS Sport Wagon.
The ad is apparently called ‘Re-ignition’ and is part of a campaign to notify the US of Cadillac’s new beginnings.
Anyways, check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

If you weren’t aware, back in 2005 GM had begun adding a corporate logo to their entire lineup of vehicles, it was said to be a “Mark of Excellence”. Well, back then GM had 8 brands but now they are down to 4 leading the company to believe it’s no longer necessary to remind folks that their vehicles are made by them.
Autoblog reports that vehicles such as the 2010 Camaro and Equinox already feature the emblem but will most likely not feature it once the current inventory is exhausted. This is most likely a smart move by GM considering their not so great publicity as of late (read: bankruptcy) but if/when we see GM return to greatness the question arises if these emblems will make a return.

Earlier this year, GM showed us the Cadillac Converj all electric concept vehicle which, at the time, had no plans of ever entering production. One thing led to another, the economy crashed, and the chances of us ever seeing the Converj dropped even lower than before.
Today however, recent reports suggest that the Converj may be seeing the light of day. According to Bob Lutz, an all electric Cadillac will give the brand a more technologically advanced image thus saving the iconic automaker.
If all goes as planned, our sources say that the Cadillac Converj could enter production as 2014. However, that’s only if the car can be properly financed and engineered. Perhaps we will see more of this vehicle at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show?

Never heard of the Cadillac BLS? That’s probably because GM currently only sells the vehicle through European dealerships. However, according to recent reports, it looks like the car won’t be sold anywhere soon enough.
The death of the BLS is due to slow sales, slow enough that GM couldn’t even break the 10,00 units sold per year. GM hopes to replace the BLS with the CTS Sportwagon that will feature the option for a diesel burning 2.9-liter V6. So, what say you, would you rather have a Cadillac BLS, or a CTS Sportwagon?
Then again, I think the market has already spoken.

One thing about car thieves, they will make all the necessary modifications to stolen cars to avoid being caught. Unfortunately, the robbers who had stolen a 2007 Cadillac Escalade were not so lucky. Originally stolen last February 1, 2008, special agents and the NICB had recovered the said vehicle but this time sporting a new look, a stretched limo look!
Apparently this transformation went under a complicated process. In fact, it was manufactured by a limo company, unsuspecting that the car they are transforming was actually stolen. It eventually landed in the hands of a businessman in Texas which was sold for $125,000. A vehicle identification number actually gave it away.
“Consumers need to exercise sound judgment when buying used vehicles from private parties or online services,” said Joe Wehrle, NICB president and chief executive officer. “In this case an innocent purchaser may be out thousands of dollars as a result of this transaction. So, if in doubt, check it out carefully before you hand over the cash.”
This quote may seem contradicting to the rampant push for online car buying. If this is one of the thing that they will encounter, it will severely affect the business intent of online car sellers for sure.

It seems that to celebrate the 100th anniversary of GM’s purchasing of Cadillac, there will be a Cadillac branded line of men’s products released.
This lineup will reportedly include cologne, deodorant, aftershave along with hair and body wash. All of these products will be produced by Beauty Contact Inc. and come in grapefruit, chamomile, tarragon, cinnam, geraniums, incense and sweet spice.
There isn’t much regarding prices but according to Jalopnik the cologne will run $73. Jeeze.

Cadillac’s North American model lineup is expanding with the addition of two exciting new models: the 2010 model year SRX crossover and CTS Sport Wagon. The first model available for sale will be the SRX, which Cadillac has confirmed will be priced starting at $34,155 when it arrives in showrooms next month. Meanwhile, the CTS Sport Wagon will arrive later this summer.
Despite new vehicle sales reaching 30-year lows, the midsize luxury crossover segment remains solid. This segment currently accounts for nearly one quarter of all luxury vehicles sold in the U.S. market, and with its generous equipment list and fuel-efficient engines, the SRX is sure to be a success. Significant competitors of the SRX will be Acura MDX, the Lexus RX, and BWW X3 and X5 SUVs.

It was truly a sad thing to see the beloved Pontiac fall victim to a crappy economy and now GM has announced that some of their high performance models are too.
As reported by KickingTires, the Pontiac G6 GXP sporting a beefed up V6 engine will not be seeing a 2010 model as previously announced. Also, just as they canceled the Cobalt SS sedan yesterday, the Impala SS HHR SS Panel will also be cut from the 2010 release schedule. And lastly, good old Cadillac will have to say goodbye to their STS-V, announcing it won’t make a return in 2010.
I just wonder, will these cars be reintroduced once the economy makes a turn for the better? Or will they just remain a mere memory?

The Cadillac VSR is a 400 HP V-Series-inspired hot rod concept that was built for SEMA. Constructed by GM Performance parts and Race Car Replicas, the Cadillac VSR Hot Rod concept hints at Cadillac styling over a low slung tube framed hot rod chassis. Beneath the hood is a 6.0-liter V8 engine that produces 400 hp. and it comes with a custom radiator and RCR custom milled cylinder back engine covers.
The chassis of the impressive hot rod is made of TIG welded monocoque tub with extruded aluminum superstructure. The interiors have custom digital instrumentation by Medallion, carbon fiber seat module, rich leather covered seats and a Chris Jones designed custom console. This is definitely a stunning hot rod concept.

At times, limos will have their share of being made specialized. And for LCW Automotive Corp., they have just completed their second Limousine for the Royal Family of Thailand this March.
The 24-inch stretch limousine was built on an LCW “CEO Series” platform, and featured a lavish array of personalized amenities. The roof of the car was raised three inches for additional headroom and longer doors were installed for the rear seating compartment, providing easier entry and egress.
Considered “short stretches” or “corporate” limousines, LCW’s CEO models range in size from 6 to 70 inches. The company “stretches” limousines up to 130 inches on the Cadillac DTS platform, or 120 inches with a Lincoln Town Car.
LCW specializes in stretching custom vehicles and customizing SUVs for high-profile clients around the world. The company has produced vehicles for countless celebrities, international heads of state and corporate executives.

Apparently, for the past 8 years, Cadillac has been giving the Super Bowl MVP a car of their choosing, thats news to me. But anyways, this year wide reciever for the Pittsburg Steelers Santonio Holmes was chosen as the Super Bowl XLIII’s MVP. What car did he choose, you ask?
Well the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Platinum Hybrid which normally sells for $85,200, of course. Hey man, if you’re going to go big, might as well think of the environment while doing so.
Here’s the funny thing though, you probably paid for it (if you’re a US tax payer that is). GM decided not to show that they gave their most expensive car to the MVP at the Super Bowl due to the $10-billion dollars worth of federal loans they recieved during the bailout.
