BMW drivers in Germany will now be able to view current precipitation in any part of the country by simply utilizing the car manufacturer’s new “precipitation radar,” which BMW says is the first ever from an automaker. This service is provided by BMW’s ConnectedDrive system and gives displays and geographical distribution of snow, rain or hail.
The maps are updated every 15 minutes, which is sufficient for motorists. Also, beginning July 2009, the company will offer a “precipitation pattern” service that allows users to see patterns of cloud movement in the past 90 minutes.

ConnectedDrive system is very interesting, but to have 15 minutes maps updated is very difficult, do they provide internet connection everywhere?
It also will be implemented at
