The Shelby G.T. 500CR, a 1967 continuation vehicle will finally be built by Classic Creations after securing the rights from Carroll Shelby. This was announced at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The vehicle will be offered in three models: the Intro, the Performance, and the Venom. Among the leaked features of the G.T. 500CR include a 427 cubic inch engine, model specific bodyworks, custom paint, hand-stitched upholstery and an official Shelby serial number. For pricing, the introductory model is said to start for $119,000.

The Aptera 2e, that all-electric car that has made consumers’ minds roll on what is really the score with the whole design will be delayed. This was learned after Aptera announced that the Aptera 2e will start production in 2010. Originally, this vehicle was to start production this year but apparently some money considerations has stalled the vehicle from breaking ground. The forefathers are contending that they can shell out the cash to kick off things but want to avail of the financing program before making any hasty decisions.

This means that the 4,000 people who have placed pre-orders will have to wait some more before the Aptera 2e really goes into production. Hopefully though the long wait will be worth every penny that they had deposited for the said vehicle.

Game play for most games today such as Need for Speed needs to be as realistic as possible. And you have to wonder how they do it. Well now it can be told. Game designers try to get as close as possible to the real thing and Microsoft game developers have shown how they do it. Thanks to a loaned Tesla, the sound of squealing tires were properly recorded thanks to proper placement of mics near the wheels of the said vehicle. Game audio is essential and as far as car-based games are concerned, this practically moves them closer to the real thing.

As you can see from the large microphones placed which look like overgrown feather dusters or willows, these things actually record the actual sounds coming from the car itself. These Tesla sounds are apparently meant to prepare the audio support for their upcoming game titles, the new Forza and Project Gotham Racing. Now the question is on whether there will be an actual Tesla car in these games. Let’s just wait and see!

Mazda is set to unveil a small car at the coming LA Auto Show with the expected unveiling of the 2011 Mazda2. The new car is expected to adhere towards the growing demand for smaller and fuel efficient vehicles in North America. Aside from the Mazda2, other vehicle models are expected to be shown off with the likes of the Mazda3, Mazda5, Mazda6, MX-5 and RX-8 also set to be unveiled next month. To most of us who have seen the Nissan X-Trail already, this piece of news should not be confused for a new version. Rather, the second generation Nissan X-Trail is a dead ringer for the old one although it comes with a revamped interior and the instrumentation panel has been repositioned to be in the usual driver’s side. This second generation Nissan X-Trail will make its debut at Thailand, coming with a 2.0 liter engine, an XTRONIC CVT transmission aided by a 6 speed manual transmission. From the looks of it, Nissan may be spreading the Nissan X-Trail in other parts of Asia, with Malaysia probably being the next stop. The new batch of Nissan SUVs will be coming from Indonesia.

It looks like Porsche Cars North America is set to unveil a third member for its Boxster line with the 2011 Spyder. The 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder is all set to make its debut at the LA Auto Show on December 2, 2009 for a selling price of $61,200. Among the striking features of the 2011 Spyder include a 3.4 liter engine, 320HP, 6 cylinder motor with direct fuel injection and a suspension that has been lowered to 20mm.

It will also be sporting a lightweight frame thanks to aluminum doors and interior door panels which weigh less than 176 lbs. It also gets 10 more horsepower as well than the S. Other than that, all other questions in mind should be answered once it makes its formal debut at the LA Auto Show so be sure not to miss it!

Nissan has issued a recall order for about 10,000 2009 Nissan Sentra models for a possible defect associated with the brake performance. The problem is traced to the vehicle’s master brake cylinder where the brake fluid may leak which may eventually place the brake reservoir level to below minimum thus causing improper braking if not careful. These master brake cylinders assembly will be replaced free of charge. This recall concerns only Nissan Sentra sedans that carry master brake cylinders built by Bosch.
