Australia’s first mid-engine sports car, the Joss Supercar, is nearly ready for production. Designed by Matt Thomas, the Joss Supercar was first displayed more than five years ago. Thomas alleges the car is just about ready for production, and can do 0 to 62 mph in just under 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph.
Joss states these feats are possible thanks to a V-8 producing “more than 500 hp.” “We have been refining the mechanics of the business model and the car and are now satisfied that we have the right product and systems in place to move forward,” said Thomas. When the Joss Supercar does make it to production, it should retail for around $600,000 AUS (U.S. $489,000).
