2008 Fuel Economy Guide Available for Download
The EPA has issued a comprehensive PDF guide to fuel economy of all 2008 vehicles, which you can download by right-clicking here.
In today's gas market, buyers are more sensitive than ever about buying cars that get good mileage, and more important, they want the government ratings to be as accurate as possible -- nobody wants to buy a vehicle that gets 10% worse mileage in the real world than the sticker rating.
To address this situation, the EPA has started using an updated test to assign more accurate MPG ratings to new vehicles, and you can learn about that by watching the video in this post.

Mitsubishi Lancer And Outlander position brand as demand rises
CYPRESS, CA -- As the market demand for compact vehicles increases with the help of rising gas prices, sales of Mitsubishi Motors' Lancer and Outlander vehicles continue to drive the brand's caché.
Built on the same global C-Segment platform, the two model lines accounted for 44.2 percent of Mitsubishi Motors North America's (MMNA) total sales in the calendar year 2007.

Mitsubishi Reports April Sales Down 26.3%
CYPRESS, Calif. -- Mitsubishi Motors today announced total April 2008 sales of 8,878.
-- Lancer was the volume leader at 2,598. This was the best month for Lancer sales in 7 months.
-- Galant sales were 1,402 for the month. Galant sales year-to-date are up 16.8% compared to the first four months of 2007.

Mitsubishi Motors announces fiscal results, forecasts
Tokyo -- Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announced its full-year results for the year ending March 31, 2008, together with forecasts for the year ending March 31, 2009.
Mitsubishi Motors' consolidated sales for fiscal 2007 totaled 2 trillion 682.1 billion yen ($25.7 billion), a 22 percent increase of 479.2 billion yen ($4.60 billion) over the previous fiscal year.

Volkswagen Eos Tops Convertibles List
YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Volkswagen Eos achieved the best overall score in Consumer Reports' tests of seven convertibles for the May issue, narrowly outpointing the BMW 328i. Both vehicles earned "Very Good" overall scores.
Two vehicles in the group, the Saab 9-3 and Volvo C70, earned somewhat lower overall road-test scores, but were still within the "Very Good" range.
