BMW offers military motorcycle program

Woodcliff Lake, NJ -- In appreciation of the commitment and sacrifice of the men and women serving in the US armed forces, BMW Motorrad USA is pleased to announce a special motorcycle purchase program for all active members of the US armed forces.

The program -- which runs through December 31, 2008 -- is designed to help military personnel purchase the BMW motorcycle of their choice for personal use.

BMW plans to increase stock dividends

Munich -- The BMW Group plans to increase the level of shareholders' participation in the success of the BMW Group in the future.

"We see the higher dividend for the financial year 2007 as being the first step", stated Norbert Reithofer, the Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG at the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday in Munich.

BMW twin turbo inline six cylinder wins international engine of the year

Munich / Stuttgart -- With six awards for five engines gained at this year’s “International Engine of the Year Awards”, BMW has successfully defended its position as the world’s leading manufacturer of efficient high-performance power units.

For the second time in succession, the 3-liter inline six engine with Twin Turbo and High Precision Injection has won the overall ranking in this most significant international engine competition.

BMW Group posts 12.5% increase in global April sales

Munich -- The BMW Group once again continued its upward sales trend for all three car brands in April. Overall, in a month-on-month comparison, the company recorded a 12.5% increase in the number of vehicles delivered to reach a total of 133,205 (prev.yr.: 118,378).

For the year to April, 485,155 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles have been sold. This is an increase of 7.5% (prev.yr.: 451,311) compared with the same period in 2007.

BMW Group Reports April Sales up 9.6%

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) today reported April vehicle sales of 31,448, an increase of 9.6 percent from the 28,692 vehicles sold in the same month of 2007.

For the first four months of 2008, BMW Group sales are still down 4.0 percent, to 99,977 vehicles versus the 104,125 sold January through April of 2007.

BMW rolls out X6 holographic display

Woodcliff Lake, NJ -- BMW of North America and its advertising agency GSD&M Idea City are rolling out a 3-D virtual vehicle tour to herald the arrival of the first-ever BMW X6.

Going direct to target consumers with a hologram of the vehicle, the world's first sports activity coupe will be featured in prominent buildings in New York City's financial district over a four-week period.

BMW Bank of North America makes three executive appointments

Woodcliff Lake, NJ - April 29, 2008... BMW Bank of North America, LLC has announced three new executive appointments at the BMW Bank of North America, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Ken Petersen has been appointed Chairman of the BMW Bank of North America, where he will act as chair of the Board of Directors and will be responsible for providing oversight of Bank management from a regulatory perspective.

Petersen will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the Bank's external relationships.

EU President Gets into a BMW Hydrogen 7

Strasburg -- During his visit to the European Parliament in Strasburg on 23 April 2008, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of BMW AG, presented the first series hydrogen saloon in the premium segment to the President of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering.

In line with the European Parliament's efforts to take measures to reduce its own CO2 emissions, President Pöttering agreed to receive this car for institutional use for a limited trial period.

J.D. Power Founder Drives BMW's Hydrogen Sedan
