Toyota Sponsors Health and Endurance Events

Toyota_Enginesofchange.jpgToyota participates as sponsor or co-sponsor of triathlons and swimming, running and cycling events. Hybrid Synergy Drive, which is at the heart of all Toyota hybrid vehicles and exemplifies health, well-being and environmental awareness, is associated with the company's participation in all these endurance events.

Swimming events include the Mutual of Omaha Swimvitational, which is part of the Toyota Grand Prix Series, and the 2008 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials.

The Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team takes on the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic and the International Tour de Toona.

And Toyota-sponsored triathlons include the Nautica New York City Triathlon and the Accenture Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon.

More than two dozen of these events will be held in just the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day. At each one, Toyota will provide hybrid vehicles and an information display, with product specialists on hand to explain the environmental benefits of hybrid technology.

To see the schedule of Toyota-sponsored health and endurance events for 2008, visit Toyota's Engines of Change Web site at toyota.com/endurance. Here you will find training information, features on sponsored athletes, blogs, race details and opportunities to participate in a sports essay contest. Join the Engines of Change community and learn more about the upcoming endurance events and the key benefits of Hybrid Synergy Drive® technology.
