Mercedes Camper Van: Like the Vanagon, But Not

marcoPolo.jpg

One of the drawbacks of the Internet is that we get to see the cool stuff other people have, but which we can't get our hands on.

Take this Mercedes camper van, for example. The "Marco Polo" has been built since 1996 but I've never seen one at a campground. And wouldn't expect to see someone in Grateful Dead drawstring pants getting out to find water to rinse the sprout bag, either.

Mercedes says it's their best-selling camper van to date, and the new models include the option to get a TDI diesel engine and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
