Honda has broken ground on a $15 million Acura Design Center, scheduled to open in summer 2007, located next to Honda's existing Los Angeles Center.

The company is also opening a design studio in Pasadena that will work on future concepts, giving Honda four R&D facilities in California.

The ceremony was held on the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Acura brand in America.
