Dodge Hornet Concept: B-Class Compact With a Sting

Chrysler said they wanted to blend a European approach to cars -- small and sporty -- with an American design flair, and they have succeeded with the Dodge Hornet.

The comparison to MINI is obvious, and Americanized, but we would replace the busy headlight cluster that dominates the grill with single bug-eye, rally-style bulbs, and keep the lower fascia fog lamps, perhaps augmented by amber turners.

Otherwise, the proposed 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower is an eyebrow raiser, as are the 19-inch aluminum wheels designed to show off the gold-colored brake calipers.
