Love to Drive? Become an OTR Trucker!!
If driving ten hours straight and sleeping in a cab for ten, then driving ten and sleeping and so on sounds good to you, then you just might want to become a long distance trucker. Average pay is about $35K and you're never home.
This profile is why there's a shortage of approximately 20,000 truck drivers in the US, and that number is expected to grow to 100,000, according to the New York Times.
You might want to check out this page from the federal government, outlining the basic requirements for a Commercial Driver's License [CDL], so you can start driving OTR.
