Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Rubicon Diesel Engine Project Vehicle
The 2005 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Rubicon Diesel Engine Project Vehicle from Mopar was built to explore the feasibility of integrating a diesel engine kit into a TJ vehicle system.
Developed by Jeep enthusiasts/engineers who work at Mopar Performance Parts, the TJ features a custom diesel crate engine adaptation.
The prototype vehicle demonstrates that Mopar listens to its off-road enthusiasts. And this is not a show vehicle—Jeep enthusiasts will see this “engineering mule” driven and tested on Moab’s trails.

2005 GTO Pricing, Fuel Economy Announced
DETROIT - General Motor's Pontiac division today announced pricing for the 2005 GTO. The new model represents the most powerful production GTO ever built, sporting 400 horsepower, enhanced brakes, new styling options and zero-to-sixty performance in 4.6 seconds. It begins arriving at dealerships in limited numbers at the end of December.

2005 GTO Arrives In Dealers, On DVD In December
The Last Ride Makes Broadcast Television Debut
DETROIT - The first 2005 GTOs are scheduled to arrive at select Pontiac dealers by the end of December, but interested customers can get a sneak peak at the new model on the DVD release of The Last Ride, the USA Network original film starring Dennis Hopper, Chris Carmack and both classic and modern GTOs.

New Gen IV 5300 Turns V-8 Performance On Its Side
PONTIAC - General Motors' new Gen IV 5300 5.3L V-8 (LS4) engine debuts in the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, making it the first V-8 offered in a Grand Prix since 1987. It also marks the first time since the small-block was introduced 50 years ago that it has been offered in a front-wheel-drive car.

GM Announces October "TruckFest"
DETROIT - General Motors today announced its latest marketing program, "TruckFest," which runs from Oct. 1- Nov. 1, 2004.
Qualified buyers who finance a new 2004 or 2005 GM truck or sport utility vehicle through GMAC are eligible to receive a bonus cash allowance of up to $1,500 in addition to available customer cash.

Cadillac Announces Competitive Pricing For 2005 CTS
DETROIT - Pricing for the Cadillac 2005 CTS luxury sedan starts at $30,695 (including a destination freight charge of $695) and can be ordered with the newly introduced 2.8L V6 VVT engine. The new engine, available in dealerships later this year, will provide 210 horsepower (156 kw) at 6500 rpm and 195 lb.-ft. (265 Nm) of torque at 3200 rpm.
The current 3.6L V6 VVT engine will remain an option for the 2005 CTS model year but will now offer a 6-speed manual as the base transmission. This engine will continue to offer drivers 255 horsepower (190 kw) at 6200 rpm and 252 lb.-ft. (342 Nm) of torque at 3200 rpm.
