Audi Brings Q7 SUV to the LA Auto Show

You'll be able to get a close look at Audi's new Q7 SUV at the LA Auto Show, but the vehicle won't make it into dealerships until late Spring 2006. Audi plans to offer two engines in the Q7, starting with a 4.2 liter V8 FSI engine that produces 350 horsepower. FSI is direct gas injection that helps the engine develop more power while also using fuel more economically.
The V8 will be joined by a 3.6 FSI V6 version in September that churns out 280 hp. Both models will be equipped with Quattro, Audi's permanent all-wheel drive system. Audi will also showcase a hybrid fitted with the V8 during the LA Show.
Fortunately, Audi does have a minisite already set up for the Q7, including a video of the unveil at the Frankfurt Auto Show, plus wallpapers and an interactive section with rollover hotspots. You can also sign up for e-mail updates. Click on this link, then follow Experience the Q7.
