Hyundai's new flagship, the Azera, starts at just $24,995, and the company is looking to wedge its way into thE premium sedan market. The Azera comes with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and eight airbags and a 3.8-liter 263 horsepower V6. Prices for the Azera Limited start at $27,495, and the Azera Limited with Ultimate Package goes for $29,995.

Robert Cosmai, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America says the "Azera is designed to take on Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and other large premium sedans with an unbeatable combination of power, interior roominess, upscale features, and segment-leading standard safety technologies...all for under $25,000."

Hyundai is being aggressive with comapring the Azera to other models in the class, for instance, touting that "tThe Azera's 3.8-liter engine is the largest in its competitive set, offering more standard horsepower than Ford Five Hundred and the Buick LaCrosse, and more torque than the Toyota Avalon."

Hyundai also says the Azera is faster from 0 to 60 mph than the BMW 530i and Mercedes-Benz S430, and that it has more standard safety features than Toyota Avalon or Nissan Maxima -- including the 8 standard airbags and standard Electronic Stability Control.
