Know any car that can go 65 miles per gallon? I do! It’s the 2009 Ford Fiesta ECOnetic which will start selling in November only in Europe. Apparently Ford thinks that Americans won’t buy a diesel that would help them save money on gas during this year’s economical crisis. And apparently analysts see the same phenomenon when talking about the car market in the USA.
“But there are business reasons why we can’t sell it in the U.S.,” Ford America President Mark Fields. … “We just don’t think North and South America would buy that many diesel cars.” The way Ford can take on a challenge is simply surprising.
