2010 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Pickups Get Enhancements

Got some fresh news for you today–apparently there’s some word out of a recent Dodge press event down in San Antonio that says some new modifications will be coming to the Dodge Ram Heavy Duty line.
And frankly, I can believe they’ve been modified, too. I caught a picture of this behemoth towing a farm tractor on a trailer, and that’s all the proof I need. This is heavy duty, no mistake.
Anyway, the modifications. Apparently, it’s getting some fresh sheet metal and an improved suspension. Better yet, it’s got a maximum weight rating of over twenty four thousand pounds. Folks, that’s TWELVE TONS.
I have to admit that I’m a little mystified by this truck’s overall existence. In an era where four dollar gasoline is a distinct possibility in the United States, and it’s actually higher than that elsewhere, somehow a truck of this sheer size strikes me as a horrendous idea.
