It looks like Kia is launching a massive offensive in the car industry these days. The 2009 Kia Borrego is reportedly ready to give popular SUVs a run for their money. The Kia Borrego joins the growing mid-sized truck vehicle class thus broadening the best SUV deals you can get in the market today.
The Kia Borrego is obviously after providing quality performance over style enhancements. Armed with a V8 engine that can seat 7 passengers and tow as much as 7,500 pounds, the Kia Borrego aims to become another choice for the SUV category being dominated by the likes of Nissan and Toyota at the moment.
The Borrego is offered in both 2-wheel drive and true 4-wheel drive (the latest generation built by BorgWarner, which features high and low ranges), in two trim levels: LX and EX. There’s a choice of the standard 3.8-liter V6 with a five-speed automatic transmission and 17-inch alloy wheels, or an optional 4.6-liter V8 with six-speed automatic with 18-inch alloy wheels.
